Leeds based alt-rock coven Venus Grrrls have been making some serious noise over the past 12 months. Current single ‘Ivy Tree’ was co-written and produced by Max Helyer from You Me at Six and is the second of a string of singles they have worked on together following the release of ‘Eighteen Crows’ earlier this year. The band have enjoyed emphatic support from BBC Radio 1, 6music, Radio X and praise from the likes of Kerrang!, NME, Dork, Upset, Alt Press, CLASH, Distorted Sound and DIY. Strong Spotify support has seen them regularly included on New Music Friday, All New Rock, New Noise, Hot New Bands etc. Over the last 12 months they have supported Sprints on a 10 date sold out UK tour and played festivals like Download, 2000Trees, Reading & Leeds, Isle of Wight, Kendal Calling, The Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City, SXSW, The Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust etc along with selling out their own debut UK headline tour.
