Primula moves between garage-tinged indie rock, dreamy guitar picking and harmonized vocals, all woven together by the individual quirks of its members. Their music and lyrics explore coming of age later in life, the desire to belong and to run away, love, longing, and the indifference that grows when things don’t turn out as expected.

The band is currently promoting their EP "Nothing New", released in May 2026 through the British-Swedish label Flak Records. Primula started out as a jazz band and eventually began writing music together. An intimate sound that is equal parts dreamy and raw emerged from the four friends and the changes one encounters in a small life. The EP marks their first music in a new direction.
