The Family Men operate across a shifting landscape of noise, experimental rock and electronic abrasion, forging a sound that resists easy categorization. Built on looping, intertwining rhythms and heavily processed instruments, their work is a raw and unfiltered expression - a constantly evolving manifestation of what they themselves refer to as the “total harmful sound.”’
Their multi-faceted live show first emerged from Gothenburg’s underground but has since carried them across Europe, with appearances in cities such as Groningen (ESNS), Madrid, Paris and Rotterdam, as well as festivals including Fusion Festival and Les Nuits Botanique. With feverish VHS projections, overwhelming waves of guitar feedback and a ferocious stage presence matched by few, The Family Men have established themselves as a band best experienced at full volume. Frontman Gustav Danielsbacka frequently performs within the crowd, dissolving the line between band and audience.
