Just like when thrash first exploded, there’s a global crisis rumbling beneath the new wave of young bands, but this time the turmoil cuts deeper — with climate collapse, pandemics, AI paranoia and endless wars fueling the fire. If Sweden became the home of death metal during the yuppie decay of the ’80s, Disarray were born straight into today’s spiraling disorder. Formed in 2022, the band made their mark on Stockholm’s underground before dropping Evil is Reborn (2023), catching the eye of Jawbreaker Records. Now, with Religious Disease (2024), they unleash a full-on thrash assault — fast, feral and furious. No watered-down nostalgia here — just pure, aggressive thrash, played the way it’s meant to be: loud, angry, and mean as hell.
