Earlier this year, Kirkeng crossed the border to Rockbonden Studio — Amanda Bergman’s farm and studio deep in the Swedish woods. With his band in tow and producer Dominic Billett (Courtney Marie Andrews, Erin Rae, Andrew Combs) behind the board, he recorded what will become his second studio album: Cowboy Lie Detector Machine.‍
