Nausia has captivated and impressed audiences and critics alike, including the legendary rock journalist David Fricke, with their doom-jazz sound that shifts between spiritual, hypnotic trance and wild, euphoric outbursts. Spring 2025, the Copenhagen quintet celebrates the release of “Finding a Circle” (Vasen, 2025) – an album that solidifies Nausia as a deeply original band in constant evolution.

The band, consisting of two saxophones, guitar, bass, and drums, defies genre boundaries. Their sound alternates between hypnotic repetition and intense, euphoric energy, drawing inspiration from alternative rock, spiritual jazz, and minimalism. In late 2021, the band released their second album, “Good Intentions”, which received critical acclaim both in Denmark and abroad.
