43 days now and Stockholm still don't have a government in place. In Gothenburg we’re put together an entire parliament of our own.

With one month to go until Viva Sounds we’re proud to introduce the people making the conference happen for our ninth run. Let's welcome them all!

Most speakers, moderators, workshop hosts are now up on the site and they come from all over the independent music world and they come from labels, management, agencies, venues, festivals and media and they all bring their own experiences, ideas and perspectives to Gothenburg.And honestly, we’re just so proud to have them with us.

Not because we’ll have rooms full of impressive job titles or fancy suits and not because we got a big corporate machine behind us. Viva Sounds is the opposite. What makes this gathering special is that the whole thing comes from independent music community itself. People who run their own stuff, build their own scenes, release records they like, put on shows they wanna see and write about the music they dig. Aka, people who keep going also when the numbers don’t add up. And they all come here to share what they know, to meet others and to take part in the conversations about stuff that keeps independent music alive.

That’s what this is about. And it is some kind of parliament, just with real people.

Viva Sounds happens in Gothenburg 26-28 November, two days of talks and stuff followed by three nights of live music to blow your mind.
