Michal is a music and arts journalist, radio DJ and event promoter based in the Czech Republic. In 2010, he co-founded Full Moon magazine, a monthly print publication and extensive online platform dedicated primarily to independent artists pushing the boundaries of music and art, both locally and internationally. As editor-in-chief since 2014, he has expanded Full Moon’s coverage to include film, literature and visual arts, while building collaborations with several prominent European festivals. The magazine received the Press of the Year award at the Nouvelle Prague showcase in both 2018 and 2019.
Michal has also curated the Full Moon Stage at the Colours of Ostrava festival since 2013, alongside programming for other festivals. In 2020, he co-founded the Moody Moon Noize festival and published the book Uprostřed příběhu (In the Middle of the Story), in addition to contributing to several other publications. Since 2014, he has also served on various grant committees for the Czech Ministry of Culture, Prague City Hall and the Slovak Arts Council.
