CONFERENCE TIME AGAIN!
CONFERENCE TIME AGAIN!
We're getting ready to drop it! Viva Conference is coming back for the ninth time and it's still a conference for people who don't really feel comfortable using the word "conference". All eyes on Gothenburg this November as we got two packed days of conversations, encounters, ideas, meetings and the occasional reality check around independent music culture.
The programme is being put together right now and things are moving fast. Guests, speakers and people from across the music industry are being added all the time, with this year’s stew put together by the people who actually build, run and keep independent music alive. The conference takes place Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of November, across a small cluster of venues in central Gothenburg. Thursday is based at 2Lång and Grunden Grand Bazaar, right next door to each other on Andra Långgatan. On Friday we move to Pustervik, using both the upstairs restaurant and Klubben, with additional sessions at Folkuniversitetet, two minutes up the street.
The programme will run roughly from 10:00 to 17:00 on both days, leaving plenty of room for conversations to continue over coffee, lunch, beers or wherever people happen to meet. The full programme will be out and about come end of October. Until then, we’ll be announcing guests and speakers as things fall into place.
The conference is being put together by us and a mix of independent music organisations, partners and people from across the international music community. Our idea is as simple as it's smart, almost stupid: let's gather those not as interested in social numbers, stream count and other evil - let's just get good people into the same rooms and see what happens. And, of course, Viva Conference is only the beginning. As the conference shuts up, Viva Sounds takes over the streets and venues of Gothenburg with live music across the neighbourhood, with additional ones on the boat and the tram.
Should you get a PRO-PASS?
Well, yes, as it gives you access to the full Viva experience - the full conference programme, all shows, industry database, delegate badge, invitations and networking opportunities, plus all shows, in total that means everything happening around the festival. More speakers, guests and programme details are on their way.
Viva Conference 2026 - we're getting there, folks!
