Runa Lunde Strindin is the founder, owner and director of the Midgardsblot Metal Festival and the CEO of the festival's operating company YME Drift A/S. She has 20 + years’ experience in the Live industry with a bachelor’s degree in arts management and marketing. Runa knows firsthand how to manage an independent festival in the ever-changing environment of the live industry, rebuilding and adjusting to accommodate and to develop. She grew up in the Norwegian Black metal scene and went on to work for the Inferno Metal festival, becoming the head of PR. She’s been a board member for the Norwegian Live Organisation (NKA) and a juror for the Metal category at Norwegian Grammies “Spellemann” the past seven years. Midgardsblot Metal festival takes place in the Borre park by the Viking Grave Mounds of Norway. The Festival started in 2015 and combines lectures, talks and exhibitions, with a diverse music programme challenging the classic metal festival set-up, by including a wide range of musical genres from folk, rock, pop to Electronica, Viking- and world music. The tenth edition takes place from 12th-15th of August 2026.
